I am a Professor of English at York College, a four-year college of the City University of New York (CUNY). I am a widely-published scholar in Applied Linguistics and Writing Studies, focusing on trans- and multilingualism, the linguistic and writing lives of transnational students, and feminist Writing Program Administration. I am a committed and imaginative teacher of writing in my composition classes and in my elective courses in Applied Linguistics, Critical Theory and Grammar. Recent courses include World Englishes, English Grammar and Syntax, Research Writing, and Critical Studies in English, our department’s theory course for English majors.
